Mawdsleys has over 390,000 sq ft of MHRA-approved storage space, and the capability to hold over 64,000 pallets across the UK. We also offer refrigerated, controlled drug, cytotoxic and active substance storage, as well as dedicated warehouses that are also suitable for medical device and OTC storage.
We’ve recently doubled the size of our existing temperature-controlled storage and distribution facility at Redhouse. Now the extension project is complete the additional capacity offers GDP compliant, state-of-the-art, pre-wholesale storage to new and existing pharmaceutical and healthcare clients.

This extension project gave us the opportunity to introduce some key environmental improvements that align to our green agenda. A 1688kW PV array of 3,375 individual solar panels has been fitted to the roof of the new site, which will operate in conjunction with the 2,600kWh battery, one of the largest systems of its kind in the UK. The battery comprises of 440 individual units and is housed in a bespoke 45 ft container, which, when fully populated weighs 39 tonnes. The system has been designed to optimise use of electricity in the 300,000 sq ft site which should be 65-68% self-sufficient once it’s in operation, in-line with our carbon reduction objectives.
